EU Customs Data Hub – How to Start und How Not to Start
Shall E-Commerce Serve as an MVP for the EU Customs Data Hub?
The AWV Project Group 4.1.1 “EU Customs Data Hub” has published a second paper on EU customs law reform. In it, the group addresses a question that is currently the subject of intense debate: What role can e-commerce play in the early stages of the EU Customs Data Hub, and is it suitable as a minimum viable product (MVP)?
Against the backdrop of the ambitious reform schedule, the high pressure to act in the e-commerce environment, and the planned gradual introduction of the EU Customs Data Hub, the publication highlights different perspectives on the MVP approach. It considers professional, technical, legal, and organizational contexts.
